My target 99000 Steps

I’m completing the Pushed to the Limits 99,000 steps challenge to support Together for Short Lives.

This Children’s Hospice Week, I will be completing 99,000 steps – one for every child living in the UK with a life-limiting condition. Every day their families are pushed to their limits. I push myself to my limit, to ensure that the hospices that support these children are not pushed to theirs.
That is why I am taking part in this challenge. Please help me raise as much as possible to support Together for Short Lives.

My Updates

Friday 25th Jun
Well that’s it, 99,000 steps complete and what a week it’s been. A HUGE thank you to everyone for you generous, kind donations. They’ve pushed me through and I know how much it means for this charity. A huge thank you to my brother and dad for walking with me this week too (and of course Alfie and Winston!). Now to rest before we do our Newcastle Office 16.5mile on the 31st July.

West Highland Way

Friday 25th Jun
5 mile walk along the West Highland Way. Nearly there! Thank you to everyone for your generous donations - blown away by all of the support.

Final day

Friday 25th Jun
Final day today to get the last 23,00+ steps in! I’ve booked the afternoon off work so fingers crossed!

Longest day so far!

Thursday 24th Jun
Today’s steps totalled over 26,000 which is a big day for me thanks to a trip to the Scottish capital for work. I would usually drive door to door, today I walked to the station, got the train then walked to the office. Then later walked to site (again where I would usually drive) and back again. Certainly a challenge and feeling it now. Thank you to everyone for your support and generous donations, it really means so much. Some snaps from my day - wild poppies on the street in Edinburgh, me pacing the station to get more steps when waiting for the train and a snap near our new site.

Mid-week update

Wednesday 23rd Jun
Proving to be a lot harder than I originally anticipated especially with a desk-based job. Alfie is certainly feeling it too...

Your very kind donations are pulling me through - thank you!

After work walk

Monday 21st Jun
After work walk with these two to get my steps in. A longer walk required tomorrow!

Time to walk!

Friday 18th Jun
Looking forward to getting started this weekend on the step challenge - I can usually average anything between 2,000 - 10,000 a day, so let's see how we go!

I will also be taking part in our Newcastle Office 16 mile walk on Saturday 31st July - all donations will go towards this fantastic charity.

Thanks for all of your support!
